Records that can't be quietly rewritten
A lifeguard certification that expired in March and a spreadsheet nobody re-reads is how a camp finds out it wasn't compliant on opening day, not before it.
Certifications can't be deleted or deactivated. Renewing means adding a new one, so a compliance record you could quietly erase isn't a compliance record at all.
Sensitive records, restricted by design
Background checks and clearances involve information that shouldn't be visible to everyone with a login.
Access is limited to roles you authorize — a seasonal counselor's login simply doesn't include these records.
Scheduling starts from who's actually available
